Why a "50th Anniversary" Omega Speedmaster Professional 105.012 model?

 

This choice was as obvious as ever when I met Les Rhabilleurs.

My friend Gabriel told me about the 50th anniversary of the moon landing, the idea inteigued me. 

We discussed it for a few months to find the model we liked.

 

The realization of this drawing was pleasant for me because I knew the lines of the Speedmaster. 

Besides, Jerome inspired me to represent the life marks of this timepiece. This one satisfied me. A new challenge has come to me !

 

Also, we agreed on a "wink" for the positioning of the hands: 05:37, the time when Amstrong and Aldrin come back inside the LEM. For the chronograph, 2:36:40, indicates the time spent on the Moon.

 

After 110 hours, the drawing of the watch was finished.

To remember, the 50th anniversary of the Moon landing, I decided to offer to this speedmaster: a moonlight context.
